1. Zero Conditional (Realtà e Verità)

Si usa per parlare di cose che sono sempre vere, come i fatti scientifici o le abitudini fisse.

  • Esempio: Se scaldi il ghiaccio, si scioglie.

2. First Conditional (Possibilità Reale)

Si usa per parlare di eventi che sono molto probabili o possibili nel futuro.

  • Esempio: Se studierai, passerai l'esame.

3. Second Conditional (Sogno o Impossibilità)

Si usa per parlare di situazioni immaginarie, poco probabili o per dare consigli.

  • Esempio: Se fossi ricco, comprerei una barca (ma non sono ricco!).

Ecco come si costruiscono le frasi. Nota bene i verbi sottolineati:

Piccoli suggerimenti:

  • Zero Conditional: È come un'equazione matematica. Se succede A, succede sempre B.

  • First Conditional: C'è una vera possibilità che accada. Usiamo will per dire che accadrà sicuramente se la condizione si avvera.

  • Second Conditional: È il tempo del "Cosa succederebbe se...?". Usiamo would per indicare qualcosa di ipotetico.

    • Nota speciale: Nel Second Conditional, con il verbo "to be", si usa were per tutte le persone (es: If I were you... - Se fossi in te).

        • Se mescoli il rosso e il blu, ottieni il viola.

      2. If I drink too much coffee, I don't sleep.

        • Se bevo troppo caffè, non dormo.

      First Conditional (Cose probabili nel futuro)

      1. If it is sunny tomorrow, we will go to the park.

        • Se ci sarà il sole domani, andremo al parco.

      2. If you study hard, you will pass the English test.

        • Se studierai sodo, passerai il test di inglese.

      Second Conditional (Sogni o cose poco probabili)

      1. If I had a lot of money, I would buy a big house.

        • Se avessi molti soldi, comprerei una casa grande.

      2. If I were a famous singer, I would travel around the world.

  • Se fossi un cantante famoso, viaggerei in tutto il mondo
