Anne Frank is a Jewish girl, born in 1929. Her birthday is on 12th June. She is from Frankfurt in Germany. She is tall and thin. She has got long dark hair and dark eyes. She is lively, smart, reflective, kind and smiling. She loves reading. There are three people in her family: her mum Edith, her dad Otto and her big sister Margot. The Franks are Jewish, but they aren't very religious. They live in an area with families of different faiths. During World War II she moves with her family to Amsterdam, in Holland, to hide from the Nazis. The Nazis are cruel soldiers of Adolf Hitler, the leader of Germany. He thinks the German Aryan race is the "master race". He wants to arrest and kill the Jews. Her father Otto sells spices and other ingredients for making sausages.
